1. Whats your "Why " Why do I want to work from home? Evaluate your need versus your wants to work at home.Take a look at your top interests. Do flowers interest you the most or would it be work at home scapbooking? Make sure you have a clear vision of what gets you excited. So excited you can't sleep at night! What is you your personality like and does it fit the concept of being at home with the kids and working at the same time. I would write these down on a piece of paper and paste it to your refrigerator. If you could spend your day doing anything you could in business what would you like to do?
2. Best Attributes! Define your best attributes or passions and turn them into a work at home business. Love what you do and success will come. Are you a builder or are you a planner or are you a salesperson by NATURE? What feels good to you when you do it?
3. Find a Niche. Find an area no one has really fulfilled.First pick your industry. Example: Flowers! Everyone sells flowers. But how many people produce a non toxic spray that covers the flowers to make them last 6 weeks verses 1 week? Your niche gives you an edge. Find your audience and make it happen today!
4. Do Your Due Diligence. The Internet offers a multitude of resources for doing your research .Check out the competition on google, their products, how they distribute them, how long they have been in business and then offer something they do not offer.Remember fill the niche that no one else has!
5. Develop a Plan. Purchase a business plan at Office Depot. If you do not have a read map how do you know where you are going. You will eventually go off course and get lost.
6. Set Specific time aside . Determine the number of hours per day you will work and when . Is it in the morning or the afternoon or the evening?
10. Most of all set goals and times to accomplish those goals This by far is the most important thing you can do. Set a time for each major task and stick to it!
